System Requirements
This helpsheet provides our minimum advisable technical specifications for your computer to work properly with GDSLab and related software.
GDS applications are Windows-based and they are taking advantage of the ease of use of a Graphical User Interface in order to perform computer-controlled testing.
The main requirements for a modern PC are the communication ports for the hardware that you are going to connect to it.
The specifications recommended by GDS are:

*depending on the size of your system, you may require extra USB ports. In this case, our GDS technicians recommend using:
a separate powered USB hub/extension with their own AC adapter or
a PCI-Express USB extension card.
**systems dated pre-2020 require a CD/DVD drive to access GDSLab software.
**systems dated post-2020 no longer require a CD/DVD drive as the software is shipped on a USB drive.
